Seven Secrets for Deepening your Connection

Is your relationship all it’s cracked up to be? If not, Relationship Expert Elisabeth Fayt shares seven secrets to help you get crackin’!

According to Fayt, everything in life happens by choice, including your love life. She explains how you can choose from how people treat you to how much romance you experience. The first step is becoming aware of your thoughts, then consciously choosing thoughts that take you toward a deeper connection with your partner.

In her new book Paving it Forward, Fayt claims: “People spend more time choosing what they are going to wear in the morning than they do choosing how they will connect with people.” She teaches a method of conscious intention she calls Pre-Paving that lays the foundation for a life of love.

The seven secrets:

1. Pre-Pave Your Day. Every thought you think paves your next experience, beginning with your first thought of the day. Start each day by Pre-Paving “I will deeply connect with people today.” Continue consciously paving the day with positive Pre-Paves and watch how your relationship deepens. Pre-Paving Your Day is a method that catapults you from the victim’s chair into the driver’s seat of your life.

2. Expect the best. You can teach people how to treat you by expecting the best. Your expectations become your intentions. When you expect them to be kind, respectful and supportive, that is what you will find. Pre-Pave: “I expect the best. My partner is helpful, loving and kind.” Always speak highly of your partner because what you are saying, you are creating.

3. Whatever you want, give it first. Often when we don’t receive something, out of desperation, we pull back and stop giving it ourselves. Instead, when you want love, give it. When you want communication, communicate! Whatever you want, give it first, and you will find it coming back to you in spades. Make a list of the things you want from your partner, then Pre-Pave: “I focus on giving these the things I want.”

4. Be romantic. Romance is a verb not a noun. It is something you do, not get. Instead of waiting for your partner to be romantic, take the reins and be romantic yourself. The results are immediate! Pre-pave: “My life is full of romance” then get busy providing it!

5. Speak up. Tell your partner how amazing he is. If you don’t write your lines in his mind, he will write them for you. If left to his own devices, chances are his mind will turn to the dark side. We all need encouragement. Reassure him daily of the things you admire about him and add the Pre-Pave: “I am so proud of you.” He will become what you think of him.

6. Make date-night a positive experience. Before going out on a date, Pre-Pave before your date starts how you want to feel and what you want to experience. Example: “We’re going to have a great time tonight.” It will affect the outcome! You will line up the evening for whatever you’ve Pre-Paved.

7. Be more in love every day. Love is a choice. Choose to have your love grow, by Pre-Paving to your partner “I love you more today”. Don’t miss a day. Then look for reasons to love him more. What you look for, you will find, and with this Pre-Pave, your love for him will expand…because you’ve Pre-Paved it.

Whether you’re single, married or whatever your status, we all want more love in our lives. Say this to the people you are closest to, and whenever you think of it, say it to life itself. The more you love, the more the Universe brings you to love.

I feel great today.

Did you know that you choose your own health every day?

I can remember speaking to someone who was telling me all about a surgery they had undergone. I commented to this person on how quickly they had recovered, and was then explained that the surgery had been ten years ago.

How often do we hold on to pains of the past, as though they were just yesterday.

We can choose our state of health, by the thoughts we choose to hold about our health.

I remember one day recently, I was scheduled to speak at three major events in one day. The night before, I went to bed with a scratchy throat, which for the average person often means a….(finish story)

I am worthy.

If we don’t write the lines in our head, the Universe will write them for us, or others will write them for us. Has anyone ever discouraged you from following your dream because they said it was “not realistic” or “improbable”.

Whatever negative self-talk we’ve had about ourselves, from ourselves, or from others has shaped our experiences. It’s time to let go once and for all and embrace our worthiness.

If you want to create your destiny and you want to create it FAST, this is truly the most powerful pre-pave that will get you there. Most people do their goal-setting and absolutely everything else to get them to reach their goals, and they forget this one last critical step, the process of feeling worthy.

I am valued for what I do.

I spent ten years in the corporate fast lane as Private Assistant to a billionaire entrepreneur. I worked alongside some of the world’s most elite business leaders, politicians and successful people of all arenas. When I was hired, I was given a one-sentence job description: “Add value to my life.” Many people would have looked back with a stunned glare, wanting to ask again, “a job description, sir?” I knew this was going to be the opportunity of my lifetime.

I spent the next decade working alongside this man, his superstar friends, colleagues and business magnates, and I made it my full-time business to provide VALUE. The job was grueling and nothing less than severely challenging at times, but I persevered every stretch of the way.

Let’s talk about value. I remember often there would be times that I would see or hear of corporate employees complaining that they were under-valued or under-paid. Have you ever felt that you were under-valued or under-paid?

I will let you in on a secret of the Law of the Attraction. No one is ever under-valued or under-paid. We are valued and paid exactly to the same degree that we value ourselves.

When you focus on providing value, you will feel that you are of value. Until that time, you will not.

While all of those people are standing by the water cooler talking about how they are under-valued and under-paid, just watch how you soar above them like lightning streaking the sky.

Let’s face it, in a perfect world, each one of us has the desire to be the best….the fastest, the best looking, the most talented, you name it, however you call it, we just want to be the best.

And we live in a fast-paced world. When we want something, we want it now.

As a law of attraction teacher, I work with people all day on how their thoughts create their reality. I get from people all of the time: Okay, how long do I have to be good, before I get the good stuff?

Your thoughts create your reality. All day you are intending, and what you intend, you create. Pre-paving is about choice. People spend more time choosing what they are going to wear in the morning than they do how they are going to connect with people, how they will feel or what they will accomplish. Pre-paving is consciously choosing how you want to look, live and feel through every part of your day and every part of your life.

Let’s start this new year by pre-paving what we want to take place in the 7 areas of our life: Money, Work, Love, Family, Health, Spiritual and Self.

(explain the following somewhere) When you pre-pave a positive thought, it sinks immediately down into your sub-conscious mind and creates your internal belief system. Everything you have in your life has been created by your internal beliefs. So if you want to change what you have on the outside, you need to merely change the programming on the inside.

Each one of us has a past ~~ a history of life experiences. Some of those experiences we cherish and others perhaps we wish we never had. When we understand the correlation between our thoughts and our experiences, we can take responsibility and begin to consciously pave the road ahead of us.

If you focus on what you’ve left behind, you will never see what lies ahead.

Your power for creating is in the present moment. It is the only moment that exists. It doesn’t mean you pretend life didn’t happen up until now. Instead you learn, embrace and decide where you want to go from here. We are all blessed with the gift of memory, but it is only truly a gift when you understand its true purpose, which is two-fold: number one, to remember the good and number two, to remember the “lesson”. Otherwise, history repeats itself and the same mistakes are made over and over again.

Whatever you have in your life is not who you are, it is who you were.
Who you are is what you are thinking about right now.

Your thoughts are creating your next moment, your next week, your next year. Whatever is happening outside of you is a perfect match to what is going on inside of you. You are creating your reality with your thoughts, and life mirroring back to you with the purpose of helping you to understand yourself better.

No man is my friend. No man is my enemy. Every man is my teacher.

If you can look at people and circumstances in this way, you can release yourself from the heaviness of the details. Pass the test and release the rest. Until you do this, you will continue to attract the same sort of events and circumstances, until you “get it”. Introspect in your life. Aren’t the challenges often the same, just masked with a different name or place?

What happens to you does not matter as much as how you react to what happens to you. You have the ability to change the outcome of any situation, merely by changing your thought. Life is ten per cent what happens ~~ ninety per cent how you respond.

The average person, when confronted with negative people or events, has a tendency to feel bad, to emotionally be affected by it. When you understand the Law of Attraction, you will know that feelings are not a result of circumstance. Feelings are a result of your thoughts. When you think a certain way, you will feel a certain way ~~ period. No matter what you are doing, you can choose to focus your thoughts in the direction you want, by focusing on the solution or the lesson.

Pre-Paving is a great technique for putting your focus on the “now” and choosing what you want. People spend more time choosing what they are going to wear in the morning than they do choosing how they will connect with people, how they will feel or what they will accomplish. Pre-paving is consciously choosing how you want to look, live and feel through every part of your day.

A pre-pave is a statement or command that you think, say or write that describes what you want. Your command becomes your intention. The moment you pre-pave a command, the Universe begins to “line up the energy” to make it happen for you.

Here are some powerful pre-paves to help you learn from the past and consciously create your future. Practice these Pre-pave with belief and conviction, realizing your power to create.

I now see the perfection in this situation.

Change no circumstance in my life, change me.

I am open to change. I embrace change.

Loving Life: four simple steps toward a passionate life

Living passionately takes one key ingredient: awareness of The Present Moment. It means releasing regrets of the past, getting out of the I’ll-be-happy-when future and choosing to embrace the moment you are in with awareness and passion. Otherwise I liken it to having your feet planted in two different boats. If your goal is to live a passionate life, you must be fully committed to it, with both feet in.

Introspect for a moment about your own life. Are you living passionately now or are you still waiting for your lottery numbers to be called? Here are four simple ways to bring passion and purpose into your life right now.

Release the doubt.

Doubt is one of the biggest passion killers. Let me help you to banish doubt forever. If you knew that it is the Divine who is desiring and dreaming through you, could you then accept the thought that your dreams and passions are already pre-destined for manifestation? In fact, if you look at the pattern of your life, you would see that the Divine has been preparing you all along for what you are meant to do in this life. Relax and become aware that there is a Master Plan is already at work, making your dreams come true.

Share your gifts.

What makes you unique? What are your special gifts? Only you can give those gifts to the world. Don’t take them lightly! What are you doing each day to use those gifts to make a difference in the world? Start each day with the thought: How can I use my gifts to add value to the world today?

Find your purpose.

For ten years I was private assistant to a billionaire who had his own fleet of airplanes and I traveled the world working with global business leaders. It was no doubt a lifestyle that appeared easy to be passionate about. Reality be it, grueling schedules and heavy demands would have been serious passion-killers had I not fostered the right attitude in my work. I was easily on four to five flights a week. To others, it was a seemingly glamorous life. I would often be asked “Of all the places you’ve been, where is your favorite place of all?” I would get a startled look when I would respond by saying, “Wherever I’m landing.”

I made it my choice to be passionate about wherever I was going and whatever I was doing, from the exciting to the mundane. That, in itself, brings purpose to whatever you are doing. Passion is a choice. It is how we do things, not what we do. Often we keep searching for that special job or opportunity that we assume will bring purpose to our lives, yet purpose is to be found not in the what but the how.

Make the effort.

Who is your mentor, your idol? What is the difference between you and this person? Nothing. Whatever you want to accomplish in your life, do what it takes to make it happen. Make the effort. Living passionately requires effort, and a commitment to taking action. What will you do today to start living a passionate, magnificent life?

PAVING IT FORWARD: Finding BALANCE in an “everybody wants a piece o’ me” world.

As an international speaker, entrepreneur and mother of three, I know “busy”. But I also know the Law of Attraction, so here are a few powerful tips for finding Balance when you feel like you are being pulled in a hundred different directions.

Balance is a choice. It begins with your thought. You have the ability to talk yourself in and out of balance. It starts with the most frequently asked question “How are you?”

Most people ask this question out of habit. It has become the automatic salutation of the western world. The fact is, rarely does anyone listen long enough to hear your response. But know for sure~that the Universe on the other hand, is always listening. And how you respond can completely change your day!

If you respond with “I’m so busy, it’s insane!” the Universe takes this as truth and gives you more reasons to feel overwhelmed. The Universe can’t take a joke~it takes you at your word! Respond instead with this: “I am blissfully productive” or “I am working on finding balance today.” Feel the peace as you say the words. Already, the Universe starts to work toward providing you with an experience of balance, joy and harmony.

Believe me, it is that easy. Your thoughts and words are so powerful and they are “paving the way”. Your thoughts become your INTENTIONS, and your intentions create your reality. The great thing is this~you can choose your thoughts!

People spend more time choosing what they are going to wear in the morning than they do choosing how they will connect with people, how they will feel or what they will accomplish. Have you asked for balance lately? Have you chosen balance?

If you really want balance in your life, you need to ask for it! Wake up in the morning and start the day with these thought demands, which I call Pre-Paves: “Today I find balance. I choose peace and harmony in all of my activities. I have plenty of time today to accomplish everything I desire. I feel peaceful. I love my life.” Starting the day off like this will make a significant change in the experiences you attract to yourself. Pre-paving lines up the energy to create what you want. It works like mathematics, it is energy!

Here is one last tip: Once a day or whenever you feel a little out of balance, take a quick time-out in Nature. Nature is in perfect balance, so when you immerse yourself in it, your whole outlook on life changes. Observe the tree. It lives for hundreds of years withstanding storms and insects, without making a sound. Nature grows and survives in perfect balance. When we spend even a few moments in that environment, our own energy finds its natural equilibrium. Even one brief walk down a tree-covered lane or by an ocean or riverbank can change the course of your life.

Life is a journey not a destination and your thoughts are at the wheel. You have everything you need to find balance in your life. There is nothing outside of you that you need to acquire. The power lies right within the realm of your own mind. Choose thoughts and words that will take you down the road of Peace and Balance.

Awaken your own healing ability!

I have been a Reiki Master for over ten years, but love to each that we are all healers, not just those who study or practice a formal method of healing. You have healing power in your hands. If you have a stomache ache, place your hands on your stomach with the intent of healing yourself. You will be able to feel heat emanating from your hands. This is healing energy. It fills your stomach with light. You can use this method to heal any part of your body as well as ailments of the mind such as a feeling of being overwhelmed, or a broken heart. Intuitively ask yourself what area of the body is represented by your pain. The first answer that comes to mind is the correct one. It could be your head, your heart, your throat or wherever you are guided. Place your hands on that spot and intend that you are sending light there.

Why does a mother instantly place her hand on her child where it hurts? Children will intuitively grab the hand of the mother and place it on their painful spot. You can heal yourself by sending healing light through your hands to the afflicted part. For an overall healing of the body, you can intend for your entire body to be filled with light. You will be able to feel the light entering your body. It feels like a warm, soothing wave, or sometimes a tingling feeling, or even coolness. Everyone will experience something unique but similar, and you will definitely be able to feel it if you practice sincerely.

I never go to sleep at night without filling my entire body with light by placing both hands on my head. I feel the wave of energy enter my body and visualize the light cleanse me from head to toe. You do not need to be a Reiki Master to do this. All you need is a desire to be healed and intend that you have the power to heal yourself.

What is Reality? We become what we think about.

We become what we think about. Thoughts are things. But what does this really mean? Let’s have a quick look at the energy of thought.

Your body is immersed in a field of energy that is invisible to the untrained eye. You have all been able to feel at some point if someone has come close to you from behind. You felt the warmth of their approach. That is the energy field you are feeling. If you could see it, it would look like the shape of an egg surrounding the body.

So what is this energy field made of?

Your thoughts!

Every thought you think enters the energy field and becomes your “Vibration”. Your Vibration is the magnet that attracts to you all of life’s experiences which is in essence your perceived “Reality”!

People spend their entire lives trying to “re-arrange” everything outside of them, attempting to alter their “Reality”. If you understood the energy of thought, you would know that your “Reality” is what you are thinking about. Change your inner thought, and you change your outer world.

So then, “What is Reality?” It is what you are thinking about.
